Follow this recipe to create a super tast strawberry cheesecake with a soft pretzel base!

INGREDIENTS 

Auntie Anne's Homemade Baking Mix

450g cream cheese, softened

2 large eggs

115g sugar

45g semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons butter

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

200g strawberries, sliced

380g strawberry glaze/sauce 

  

PREPARATION 

Follow the directions on your home baking kit in order to prepare the dough. You can buy the kit at any of your local Auntie Anne’s UK stores. 

 

DIRECTIONS

FILLING:

Blend together:

softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

CRUST:

Roll out the dough into a 16” circle and lay over a round pan. Cut off the extra dough that is hanging over the edge of the pan and roll into a rope form (for the outside crust). 

Mix the baking soda that is found in the baking kit, in approximately 940 ml of very hot tap water. Then dip the ‘dough ropes’ into the baking soda mixture (be careful- don’t burn your hands in the water!) 

Next place the rope around the edge of the dough in the pan- like a pizza crust. Sprinkle with the pretzel salt in the box. 

Spread the filling on top of the dough.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Baste crust with melted butter and then let it cool for 10 minutes. Now place sliced strawberries around the cheesecake. 

Spread strawberry glaze over top.

CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE: 

Melt chocolate chips  and dip a basting brush in it. Fan over the cooled cheesecake. 

Finally, chill for 1 hour before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
